More protests against the National Development Bill. This was held outside the James Cook Hotel on 7th March 1979. See the other collections of photographs of protests about this matter.
The protests were led the the Coalition for Open Government which was formed by Sir Guy Powles.. There was opposition to the lack of environmental safeguards for the utilisation of national resources.
