Protest at Shah Of Iran visit in September 1974

In September 1974 protesters staged a picket when the Shah of Iran and his wife visited New Zealand. They attended a Government reception at the St George Hotel where they were met by Prime Minister Bill Rowling. The protesters held placards supporting opposition to the Shah and decrying political repression and torture in Iran.
